Zen from the Ground Up
First we focus on the posture. We learn to relax the body while maintaining healthy alignment.
Then we focus on the breath. We begin by observing the breath and allow this to help us relax the body.
Once these concepts have become habit, we learn to place the mind in the role of “the observer.” As “the observer” we work at turning our attention inward. We look, we listen, and direct our sensors from facing out to facing in.
Our true self can only be understood in relation to this moment.
The reflection is like a mirror.
