Centre Meridian Gathers Qi: Zhong Mai Cai QiGong
Zhong Mai Cai Qi is a practice that gathers and consolidates Qi. It gathers the initial undifferentiated form of Qi, this is called Yuan Qi (original Qi). This undifferentiated Qi is the original substance of all things in the universe before they separate and become fixed in shape. Yuan Qi is the first form of energy, it has yet to take on a shape or a specific purpose. All objects and living organisms are made up of Yuan Qi, so it can be described as an ubiquitous driving force. After gathering the necessary Yuan Qi the body and mind then direct this energy to the weak and damaged parts of the body. Yuan Qi alters its form according to the body’s needs, which makes it an extremely valuable asset to any treatment plan as well as ideal for maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
This set has the same fundamental effect as Xiao Zhou Tian Training (Small Heavenly Circulation – or Microcosmic Circulation). they both emphasize the opening of the two main Vessels in the body. This is often considered an important foundation for all Qi Gong practice.
Part 1: Form & Breath Work – 5 Classes – Prerequisites: none
Part 2: Internal Strength Training – 5 Classes – Prerequisites: P1
Jing Luo Xing QiGong
Jing Luo Xing Qi Gong is a practice that circulates Qi through the 12 Regular Meridians, and the 8 Extraordinary Meridians. The 12 Regular Meridians direct the post-birth energies. According to theory, we regulate “Ying Qi”, which means “Nutrient Qi” through these vessels. The 8 Extraordinary Meridians regulate connecting energies of “Jing” which translates to “Essence”. This is your pre-birth energy (core/constitutional energy). The Jing Luo Xing Qi practice is excellent for strengthening both pre-birth and post-birth energies. This set teaches one how to maximize their potential based on lifestyle and constitution.
Part 1: Form & Breath Work – 5 Classes – Prerequisites: Zhong Mai
Part 2: Meridian Theory and Intent – 5 Classes – Prerequisites: P1
Standing Meditation – Zhan Zhuang
Zhan Zhuang Gong is an excellent exercise for those with back pain and weakness in joints. Physically, its basic premise is to create healthy posture by redistributing tension. Once posture becomes established we begin to focus internally by building energetic potential that can be utilized in all aspects of our day. This practice strengthens the sinews (ligaments and tendons) and bones, thus promoting strong circulation of Qi throughout the body.

Part 2: Internal Aspects – 5 Classes – Prerequisites: P1
Part 3: San Ti Shi – 5 Classes – Prerequisites: P1 & 2
