This is a class that truly has to be experienced to be believed. Situated in heart of Parkdale, this glorious event can be summed up as a ‘guided meditation followed by a Reiki treatment.’ But its proving to be much more than that. A space where practitioners, as well as those new to QiBelly, can come and experience some relaxation without having to break the bank. Join us for a night of smooth mind/body refreshment.
What We Offer
Tai Chi & Qi Gong as its taught in Beijing. Old school techniques that will challenge your view on health and create a skill that improves the quality of your life. The focus is soft, fluid movements that strengthen and at the same time, create balance. Our Tai Chi & Qi Gong classes give you the tools to generate long-lasting health. Utilizing breath work, moving forms and intent, these gentle routines strengthen the body internally while harmonizing it externally with nature. This is not your average Tai Chi or Qi Gong class. If you are serious about your health and interested in creating something real, then you have come to the right place.
Learn the traditional style of Reiki as it’s taught in Japan. All Reiki classes are taught by Reiki Master Paul Lara and are offered by appointment only. We offer group Reiki classes as well as private Reiki classes in downtown Toronto. In all of the classes, the material is angled accordingly so that everyone gets what they need. It’s an old school approach. It’s the way I was trained in Japan. Instead of one big heavy weekend workshop, I offer the material over 5-6 sessions depending on the specifics (10 for the Master Class). The sessions are typically scheduled once a week, with homework in between. For everyone that participates in a Komyo Reiki class, we offer group work at our weekly meditation classes. This way, even those that take a private Reiki class have a chance to work with others. (Keep Reading…)
Japanese Reiki treatments in Toronto by Reiki Master Paul Lara. As far as therapeutics is concerned, I literally have a hands off approach. My intention is not to heal, my intention is to open. The more I receive, the more you receive. My role as Reiki practitioner is only to help support what the body is already in the process of naturally doing. Understanding the body, the natural world, and their inherent relationship allows me to help create a space where everyone gets what they need. But the results are not determined by me. I am only part of the equation. My intention is not to heal. My intention is to receive. The more I receive, the more those around me are invited to receive. This natural approach sees the body as already knowing what it needs. It sees the body as being much smarter than most of us believe it to be. I, as practitioner, am responsible for putting the body in a position most conducive to health. Most experience this in terms of balance, relief and perspective. *Please note that Reiki treatments are not a replacement for conventional/medical health practices, or any form of psychotherapy.
Our QiBelly Reiki Share is a time to get together and practice Reiki. I like to think of this class as community. A time to come together and practice with other like minded individuals for support/inspiration etc. Tea and snacks are provided as well as a whole lot of luvin.
These days I mainly teach privates. I offer 3-4 group classes a week, but other than that, my schedule consists primarily of one on one training. This has developed over the years for many reasons. It was the way I was taught by all my teachers. It’s old school. It’s personal. I prefer it to be honest. I find that we can get more to heart of the matter when working in this way. Everyone receives information differently and this makes it a learning process for both parties. Whether it’s Reiki, meditation, Qigong or Tai Chi, the classes are adapted accordingly to your interest and level. As a beginner or an advanced practitioner, individual training has many advantages.

Komyo Reiki from Japan - My approach, in accordance with the Japanese tradition, is old school. Trained in Kyoto, Japan for 3 years under Master Hyakuten Inamoto, I have come to understand the beauty in simplicity.
From soft and fluid, to solid and powerful, we focus on strengthening the body while maintaining a calm and relaxed mind. Training Tai Chi gives one the tools needed to address daily stressors with proficiency and naturalness.
