QiBelly Meditation
QiBelly Meditation is Zen at its core. Japanese Rinzai Zen, Chinese Buddhist Zen (Chan) & Daoist Dan Gong.
We aim for what is true. We wait for what is real.
To me, meditation has to be personal. I donโt see value in guided meditations. For relaxation, maybe itโs ok. But for truth, for honest access, it has to be personal.
Over the years, I have rewritten these words 100 times. I never liked books on meditation, always seeing them as a disservice to my experience. It canโt ever be about mimicking or even comparing ourselves to others.
When it comes to meditation, Iโve worked with enough to know that this is not everyoneโs cup of tea. Our teachings date back hundreds of years. Foundational training must be understood. Initiates must be patient. This is how we persevere.
I would like to finish with a quote from my teacher, Abbot Taiun Matsunami,
โNow please forget everything I just saidโฆโ
Welcome to your Zen.
